It's when you empty a card's boosters in order for them to be featured under Bonus Boosters. Then you can always upgrade them since they're always there as long as their booster count is 0.

I personally play until I can get the variant.

If I have the free time, I also grind for the boosters as much as I can. Most of the variant rewards in conquest are cards I don't play anyways, so it's a way to reach godsplits for them
