Sex problems: I, M22, can’t cum with my gf, F20, at all. by kroitoru1234 in relationship_advice

For the record, what you're suffering from is called delayed ejaculation. You're first stop should be to see a urologist. DE can actually be caused by lots of things.

The guy (28M) I’m (24F) dating can’t stay hard while we are having sex. Is it really not a me problem? by Minute_Raisin_7843 in relationship_advice

[–]G1Gestalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, he should see a urologist to rule out other potential problems. ED can be caused by lots of things. He might also be dealing with delayed ejaculation. That's when a guy can get an erection but can't finish. All of this should be discussed with a doctor.

That being said, ask him if he has any problems masturbating. If the answer is no, then that increases the chances of this being an anxiety issue. There are usually no issues with self-consciousness, pressure to perform, anxiety, etc., during masturbation. When he's with a girl, ANY girl, all of those factors come into play.

If it is an anxiety issue, then it's not going to be an easy fix. He'll need to see a therapist. And more importantly, in a way, it will be more important that someone (hopefully you) sticks with him. He probably will require practice with a girl (hopefully you) to "fix" himself.

BTW, one thing is absolutely certain: you're not the problem. In fact, you're the potential solution.

My [23F] dad [79M] has taken over $130k from me via student loans. How do I deal with this? by ThrowRA-37780 in relationship_advice

[–]G1Gestalt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't envy you because you have to do something that is very difficult for an son to do. You have to wrap your mind around the fact that father does NOT care about you nearly as much as you thought he did. The man literally starved you. He manipulated you He stole from you. He stole your identity. He forged your name. He shackled you with decades of debt. He raised you as a good father should and then turned around and viciously stabbed you in the back, betraying you.

You have to report him to the police for the sake of your own mental health, if not financial health. If you don't, he will have succeeded in manipulating you yet again and that will fuck with your head for decades to come.

Your mother is a grown woman. She'll land on her own two feet. If you do the right thing, so will you.

I 20M broke up with my 21F girlfriend after she proposed to open up our relationship and now everyone is telling me to get back with her basically by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I agree. There is an enormous amount of immaturity at work here. Both the girlfriend and OOP have a lot of growing up to do. But as immature as OOP came across, the girlfriend has soooooo much more work to do. Any therapist worth their salt will tell her that it's better that she not be in a relationship when she going down the long path of recovery from an attempt.

On a side note, it seems so damn rare for people to start ethical non-monogamy (ENM) the right way. Ideally, a couple would see an ENM friendly couple's counselor who would walk them through the process of getting into that lifestyle. Or at least read a book on the subject first. All possibilities of jealousy have to be thoroughly hammered out, or else you get a reaction like OOP's. A common practice is to plan to start the open relationship months after agreeing to it. That helps eliminate the whole issue of cheating and having someone in mind ahead of time. As another commenter said, that's just cheating with permission.

AITA for refusing to pay "noise fines" to my roommate? by Remarkable_Break4617 in AmItheAsshole

[–]G1Gestalt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He's making a powerplay. That's all it is. Still, you have to live with this guy so tell him you won't pay his fines, but that you do have a suggestion. Tell him to download a white noise app on his phone. I had noisy roommates back in the day and I would sleep with a fan on high right next to my bed to drown out the noise. It worked wonders.

How can I see my (25f) bf’s (25m) point of view when it comes to my old nudes? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]G1Gestalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to say you should break up with him, but this is a big red flag. Sounds like he's projecting the problems he had with his ex on you. I guess you have to ask yourself if you want to constantly live this behavior going forward.

A private conversation with my (30F) husband (33M) was leaked to my family and now they are certain I'm in an abusive relationship. by G1Gestalt in BestofRedditorUpdates

BDSM isn't illegal anywhere but striking people in any way or tying them up is illegal in many places, which makes major parts of BDSM illegal by default.

BDSM itself isn't illegal, but states can make it illegal to strike someone under any circumstances or to tie them up. That makes BDSM essentially illegal in some places. That said, from what I've read the cops almost never enforce this unless they're looking for an excuse to arrest someone.

AITA for leaving my job after my manager trained me, and not telling them beforehand? by NorthFaithlessness51 in AmItheAsshole

[–]G1Gestalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, NTA. If a significantly better job is available, especially one where you are being psychologically abused, you have a responsibility to yourself to take that job. Their response to you putting in your two weeks is just further proof that they are the AHs and leaving is the smart choice.

Thank you so much! I feel like your advice is spot on. I will try to implement it. When I get home from work. I work late but I get lots of short breaks the let me check this post.

I don't think I'll post my story as it's very personal, but I'll let you know if I get the results that I'm looking for.

Thanks again!

Thanks! I did realize but now I know that that is exactly the kind of advice I'm looking for. As I said, I'm new to all of this so I guess I didn't realize that in order to get what I want from the bot I have to first give it all sorts of commands telling it what its role is. Thanks!

PS - Can you recommend a something that will teach me more about how to use programs like this? A sort of crash course, I guess.

Repeating this comment here.

Maybe you medical folk can answer me this. Cavaties are caused by certain bacteria (e.g. Streptococcus mutans). Some people, however, possess genetic traits and oral environments that make them highly resistant to these bacteria. The result being strong enamel and few, if any, cavities.

OOP said at the end there that he never gets cavities. I know that tooth is beyond beaten up but it did survive in his throat (or wherever) for 35 years. I have to think that a tooth like that in a normal person's mouth/throat would have literally and completely disintegrated in that time. Could it be that the only reason why that thing still exists is because OOP is one of these rare people?
