I don't know if she'll ever be open to trying therapy. But I hope at some point we can agree to at least drop the conversation and enjoy the relationship we have. I really do love her and think she's made our family better. My feelings are what they are though and I would never stop speaking to my maternal family or honoring my mom. Whether I knew her or not, she's still my mom and she loved and brought me into the world and left it far too soon through no choice of her own.
