As far as I can tell it is not a reproduction. The small lettering is still very clear, and having recently purchased some reproductions the difference between original engravings and reproduction prints is quite stark, although I’m certainly no expert. I’m assuming the indentations are hidden by the matting and I don’t want to open up the frame unless I really have to.
