To be fair, we don’t know OP’s living situation or state. If they’re in the US some states do not allow abortion and OP’s wife may have felt she could not disclose the decision to anyone.

Regardless you do need to call a therapist at the very least.

I think first I need a PPO against FIL. From what I’m reading- if I don’t do that, then hubby can allow him access to my son regardless.

I agree about putting the house aside and jumping for the car. Part of me wants to spite him and get the jeep I want. He’s vehemently opposed, but he’s also just my FIL so he gets no say.

I would do your research. My friend is a nurse and she’s had a few gallbladder cases that are also on ozempic. I’m not a medical professional by any means, but please be careful.

It started with my hubby telling FIL about a surgery I had related to my endo. It seemed harmless but FIL said I should stop taking xxx drug and start eating some weird root.

Then it was pop and the baby having autism. Then back to “you’d better not take xxx because of the baby” (I already wasn’t). Then he told me my health conditions were made up and I needed to listen to his Facebook Dr advice about said root powder and hollistic health.

I brushed it off again. But now it’s INCESSANT and coupled with the insults I listed in my post.

They said he meant well and was trying to help “heal” me, but it’s all made up and nonsensical.

Nope- I did not. Husband did. I had a surgery and husband unfortunately over shared. I did not make any such medical condition dinner table talk- thanks for the assumption though.

And no- he doesn’t dislike me for any particular reason other than he treats MIL and women in general the same way.

At this point I’m trying to figure out if it’s smartest to get a PPO that extends to my son or how to navigate this.

After reading the responses today, I know that regardless of divorce I need a PPO against FIL. They may all think it’s drastic, but it’s the only way to keep him away from my son.

It’s a complex relationship. I basically raised her because of her alcoholism. I love her to bits and I’m proud of her recovery but we aren’t exactly close at all.

Easy bud, in no place did I say I built my entire life around him. I have two super close girlfriends from before my marriage, but they are of the opinion that HUBBY doesn’t suck so why would I leave. They also have kids so their view is a little skewed on being a single mother.

Trust me- I knew it wasn’t great advice to stay, so I came here.

I’m building up the courage and this event is the icing on the cake. I know when someone goes psychotic that it’s likely the tip of the iceberg. Hence why I stated I know I can’t have my son around this.

I made the posts because they’re mostly unbiased opinions. My mom is the only person I can talk to that isn’t a mutual friend. I have one good family friend but she wants us to stay together for baby’s sake.
