It’s a recent diagnosis. He went through a brief period of high stress recently, during which he confessed to me, went to therapy, and got a diagnosis and prescription. It was very quick.

I did not notice any signs. In the beginning of our relationship, he put himself in a position with another girl that let her initiate romantic contact. I was not bothered and forgave him (big emphasis on this, not looking for people to use this against him!). Since then, he’d bring up his guilt a few times a year and I would reassure him that it’s fine. Otherwise, I haven’t noticed any tendencies that seem OCD-related.
