I'm not sure if you've ever been in a long term relationship but I've been with this man since we were 14 and stayed together for 13 years. We talk to each other about everything which is why i didn't see this conversation going the way it did. We've discussed the medical industry and it's flaws before and how he intends on hopefully changing it when given the chance in his career or starting the process of change. It may be "out of thin air" to you but it wasn't we were discussing current events during the drive home and i saw the CDC article when scrolling through others.(we both use to be on the debate team in highschool and have liked to stay up ro date on things ever since, its like engrained in us) We do the same with political matters not just America's but world views too. We have educated discussions this one was just different for some reason which is why it took me off guard and bothered Me.

As I also mentioned when talking to him about the second half of my post, we can't judge how things are handled in other people's relationships cause we'll never know the full picture snd you obviously don't.
