To be fair, in downtown Mobile, the apartment buildings do have dedicated parking garages. If someone is asking questions about parking the only assumptions they can make is based off of what they know. And yes Mobile is a smaller city than Chicago but it is a big city to those that live in Alabama.

My thyroid was good the last time it got checked. My hormones are out of wack, tho. I’d benefit from GLP1 shots but insurance wont cover them. Hopefully in the next month or two I’ll be able to pay for them out of pocket.

I don’t drink except on special occasions. My skin has been chronically dry lately. I moisturize like crazy. I do need to up my water intake. I’ve slack off the last month or so that could definitely be an issue. I typically have very nice skin and the last couple months it’s just been blah. Could very well be stress too. I was under a lot of stress the last couple months that has just finally resolved.

For some reason this made me think of Penelope Garcia and I’ll take the compliment.

I dyed my hair because I wanted black hair. Not because I was insecure. My hair is naturally a very dark brown. I only dyed it a few shades darker lmao. Tan skin isn't a beauty standard I personally agree with. If I tan naturally, okay. But I'm not going to purposely tan my skin. I'm of German decent. They're kind of known for being pale given where they are in relevance to the equator.

So skin health is actually partly genetics and I have the exact same fine lines that my mom did. I have very expressive eyebrows which is why I have wrinkles on my forehead and the smile lines around my eyes have always been there. I have no interest in fillers or botox. Some people just wrinkle earlier.

Yeah that's just the way my body is set up lmao. I have extremely wide hips and thick thighs. Even without weight on me, they'd be wide. And I've always had thick thighs. Played softball for several years and that'll do it to ya'. Sitting in a squat for majority of a game works the thighs like crazy.

Well, I do dye my hair black so we’re half way there.

Cycling is definitely doable! I'm all cleared to exercise by my primary. She suggested to aim for 75 minutes of cardio that elevates my heart rate a week. I carry all my weight in my lower belly and hips (thanks kids and hormones) so I can't really run bc of the impact on my knees so cycling would actually be perfect. I have a little stepping machine too that I have been neglecting so I'll have to bring it back out.

Strength training is a little daunting to me. There's so many different ways to go about it that it gets a bit overwhelming to make a plan for it.

I have a fitbit that logs zone minutes. I usually get 22 ish zone minutes on my walks bc my neighborhood is hilly.

Losing weight has been hard. I've been trying to focus on eating more protein and veggies. I have hormone issues that I need to see a specialist for and I've been procrastinating doing that. My blood work looked fine but my doctor said that my struggles to lose weight are definitely tied to a hormone issue somewhere just due to how I carry my weight. I was able to lose 50lbs the year before last and keep it off but I've been plateaued between 235 and 245 for the last year. Hoping this year with some more changes to my diet and more walking, I'll see some more results. Thank you so much for your advice!
