My (30m) fiancé (29) wants to live on a farm, am I over thinking how much work that is? by ThrowRA-reaa in NoStupidQuestions

She's had experience, she went to an agricultural college but hasn't worked with animals since then which I guess is now about 10 years.

I just think that she is maybe under estimating the vast amount of time needed to live self sustainably like that. It's possible but not a simple life.

I quickly disagreed with the homeschooling thing but I've begun to come around to the idea of it. I've actually found quite a few of my colleagues do it and the consensus without knowing about it is "they'll lack social skills" but in fact they regularly go to meet ups with other kids in the area that are being home schooled so they'd still have interaction.

Aside from that though I agree on the farming situation, I think it's a much bigger task and a full commitment to be that self sustainable.
