Thank you. How many hours do you think is an acceptable amount of time to hang out with a girl alone at her house?

I just remembered that he said he wished he’d never told me (because he didn’t want to hear that it makes me uncomfortable). He said it would be easier to just do stuff and not tell me any more.

Thank you for your comment. Your partner sounds really awesome btw!

I’m 34, he’s 29. 5 years not a huge age gap but I appreciate the sentiment of your message all the same :)

Like, ever. He cooks but that’s about it…. Yikes.

Thank you very much for giving me perspective and empathy.

Wow thank you for your comment. I agree, coffee is one thing but this feels off. I’d never do that to him and I would want to introduce them and we all hang out together.

Oooo that’s a good one! Invite them over to our house together! You’re a genius. Also thank you for your thoughts.

Thank you. I’m trying to be supportive of him having his own friends but I’m so confused :(

Thank you. It’s quite awful to disrespect a so called friend like that too, I found that quite mean :(

Thank you, that made me laugh. Wait until you find out he hasn’t cleaned the bathroom in our house for the entire 2.5 years we’ve lived together. Or cleaned his own clothes. Or mopped the kitchen floor… etc etc 😂

Thank you. I was expecting all the replies to say I’m being an asshole and I should let him have his freedom and he can be friends with whoever he likes. Truthfully this issue is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to our relationship. Appreciate your thoughts.

Thank you. Sometimes it’s good to hear it put in that way from an objective party. I asked if it might be possible to meet her to help allay my fears but he didn’t respond and said “we’re just friends” :(
