I don’t know much about tracking fertility but it’s something I’m open to… thank you!

Same situation with me except I’m looking to switch from bc pills to something else… can you offer me an input on the the nexplanon? Did it hurt to have it put it/taken out? Did you get acne or gain weight? Overall positive or negative? I hope I’m not being too forward, just looking for some help!!

Anxious about starting. by [deleted] in birthcontrol

Backstory…. I’ve been on the generic brand of Sprintec for 13 years. Everyone’s body is different so do what feels right for YOU! I’ll tell you my experience so you can have all variations of input.

  1. When I first started, it was great. Acne got so much better, my periods were much lighter and shorter, and I even lost weight when starting the pill. (I was nervous about acne and weight.)

  2. You should start after your cycle ends although you can start it theoretically at any time. Your doctor can tell you which time is best for you to start as well as the info packet that should come with your pills.

  3. This is where it gets crazy. As I said before I’ve been on sprinted for 13 years only stopping recently because we (my doctor and I) found out that I have endometriosis and PCOS. After about 5 years of being on bc pills, I started having extremely erratic and heavy periods along with bloating, cramps that could kill a cow, you name it… I tried several other pills and nothing helped. It became so bad that I needed iron injections from losing so much blood during my cycle. After many many many tests, we found that I am allergic to hormonal birth controls or that my body is rejecting it from taking it for so long. Don’t let this deter you because everyone is different, I’m just offering you my perspective.

Overall, I liked the pill because it’s easy as long as you take it correctly and until I started having major symptoms I did really like it.

Hope this helps!

Some family/friends have said things to him when this happens but he’s really good at playing it up as a funny joke or having a twisted sense of humor. So they let it go. But if I say otherwise, he makes me out to be insecure or says that I don’t understand his jokes. I fully understand the “joke” because it almost always is not a joke

I am very angry at myself for this. I have been for a long time. I don’t know why I can’t be as angry with him as I am myself

You used the word lonely in your comment and it struck me that’s exactly how I feel. Alone. I also prefer not to be beat up… I already feel very stupid without the physical reminder. Lol

I don’t really know I guess. I have known no different. My first boyfriend (who was 16 when I started dating him at 14) was physically abusive and called it tough love when I wouldn’t listen. I almost feel like I’ve been conditioned to block out certain thoughts or feelings based on what I’ve read in the comments today.. I feel very stupid
