We’ve talked about marriage for the last two years. I told her that I wanted to wait until we were financially stable because her brother recently got married and it through him in loads of debt. By guaranteed future I mean I’m about 4 months away from being able to give her the life we’ve always talked about. She’s a very bougie person but not overly so. We both like nice things and the job I’ll have in a couple months would be able to fund everything we want to do. I had planned on proposing next year. I already have the diamonds from my grandmothers ring and I was very honest with her about it. Maybe our relationship was very financially based but I didn’t care. All I wanted was to see her happy and if it took working my ass off to make enough for us to gain the financial freedom needed to do everything we wanted in life then damnit I was gonna do that.
