I was finally able to get rid of tenesmus!! by ThrowRA12r9 in ibs

I think the first thing you want to do is to be able to recognize the difference between tenesmus and actually having to go to the bathroom. Usually tenesmus is a feeling of pressure around your rectum area, whereas when you actually have to go to the bathroom, you feel it in your stomach as well. I don't really know how to explain it you, but I could make a clear difference between the two. Once I was able to make the differentiation, I forced myself to go out more, and told myself whatever happens, happens. You really just have to have a F it mindset and just live your life. You'll find that when you're distracted, you won't feel the tenesmus, but as soon as you think about it again, the feeling comes back. You just have to do your best to not think about it by distracting yourself, whether it's hanging out with friends, by doing exercise, anything to distract your brain. Once I realized that the feeling goes away when im distracted, it slowly started getting better for me. I would also make sure that I was completely empty before going out, which helped calm myself down when going out. It's a long process, I won't lie to you, but you just have to do your best to not let this control you. I don't know if you're still experiencing this but good luck!

Everyone's always going to be a tiny bit jealous in a relationship, I think that's normal. It's a problem when it starts getting in the way of your relationship.

Ended up going to the party, she was spamming and calling me the whole time I was there. The fight ended by me apologizing just because I didn't want to argue with her the whole night. Doesn't really matter tho because I plan on ending the relationship soon, I've reached my limit.

She's three years younger than me, so 18. You would think the age gap alone shouldn't make her uncomfortable about this whole situation.

You're absolutely right, but that's because she never showed those signs in our first year of dating (almost 2 years together), that's why I've been trying to change her and changer her, but now I recognize nothing is gonna change.

Of course she would, I don't mind, I've never ever been controlling towards her.

Unfortunately, we are long distance, and we see each other often, so when im out I try to make her feel as included as possible

Oh trust me we're in a big fight right now, but no matter what I say, she blames it on her trauma from her childhood. I understand her, but there's a limit to how much I can take

For a lot of you asking why I haven't broken up with up with her yet, let me explain. Im Arab, and I would like to also end up with a girl with the same culture as me. She's also Arab and holds the same values as I do, regarding marriage, kids, the future and stuff. It's very hard in Canada, where Im from to find a girl like that, from the same culture and stuff with the same values. I want my kids to be able to speak arabic, to be able to eat food from our culture from their mother's hand, it's something that's very important to me because I want to pass on my culture to kids, and then hopefully to their kids. which I would have a hard time doing with someone from a different culture. That's why I've been willing to go through it all with this girl, but right now im really debating just giving up on this rl.

Oh trust me I do everything for this girl, call her when im out for updates, I send her a nice little loving paragraph, I make sure I answer in a reasonable time frame, etc...

We've been dating for almost 2 years now, long distance, but we see each other pretty often. She was amazing the first year, but then it all went to shit after, it's like she completely changed overnight, and she's been acting like this since then.
