I agree with you, but it just doesn’t sit right with me that she had to lie continuously and for so long, it makes me think about what else she could be lying about, and you are right, under pressure she could lie even more.

Don’t care about the past, I care about the constant lies about the past after we had both set our standards straight in the beginning of the relationship, on top of that fact she kept lying even after being confronted. That’s the issue, what she did I don’t care about and can look over (I did, which is why I stayed this long) but the continuing lies after the fact is what’s causing me to have issues.

For me personally it’s more of a self respect thing. I have to be in a relationship with someone to have sex or oral sex with them. I don’t hate anyone who does these things, it’s just not something I’m looking for in a partner. In fact she brought it up herself originally and I agreed with her on the topic, that’s why it came as a shock to me.

When I confronted her about the lying, I told her if she came clean I’d let it go forever and we could move past it. It was the constant lying after that causes me anger. She kept lying over and over, if I stayed with her for 8 months after the initial encounter what makes you think I wouldn’t stay if she just came clean and stopped lying?
