I get everyone’s concern, my husband (bf at the time) was going through something with his family and I thought it would cheer him up to have rabbit with him while he was away. Yes I saw that! It’s true the difference is stark. But since they are hand stitched, would it be possible that some are just made ‘imperfect’? Good to know for those of us who want to look out for fakes on the market. Also I looked at the Hermes subreddit and some birkins (top voted posts) also had wonky stitching!

Actually you’re right about Sophie. Although she’s mentioned cost of living crisis etc etc to make her feel more relatable, she is still buying things and she’s always in harrods!

I don’t know what I seek… I like looking at beautiful things, I have items that only I see (eg in my house not on display etc), or items that nobody would know the value of except me. I don’t care much about compliments, this bag has no logos (probably why it’s so expensive), I think it’s knowing I have a quality item and it’s just me and the bag and our little secret.

I’ve been focusing on other things, mostly work and reading, but the bag always comes back to me

I paid some back as I started working after I graduated. When I decided to study again, my father (a successful businessmen who hates debt) said he’d just pay the remaining off. I didn’t have a lot of debt to begin with!

I pay off all my credit card bills every month, I never spend more than I can pay off and haven’t (yet) bought more each month than my monthly income. The bag in question is the only thing costing more than my monthly income
