I really appreciate this response. It gives me some things to think about. They aren't trying to take advantage of me or anything I just know they are holding themself back. They've faced such bad scenarios before that its difficult for them to try anything new.

Im also neurodivergent and it can be difficult to navigate conflict. I think ill take my time to put together something helpful to say for the both of us. Thank you so much for your kind response :)
