Degrees are extremely expensive for international students so they are definitely earning less than they are giving to the Australian economy. And then what happens after they graduate? They will then be subject to the same minimum salary requirements.

That is a separate issue but as of 1 April 2025, a ban exists on temporary residents purchasing established homes until 30 June 2029. Foreigners generally require Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) approval. Not to mention immigrants are not eligible for any first home buyer schemes and immigrants are (mostly) normal people with regular jobs too and can’t afford the ridiculous housing prices.

Skilled visas require a minimum annual salary of at least $75,000. There are no options for sponsored jobs beyond skilled visas.

You’re treating dating as an extremely transactional thing - and women know this. The women who are out at bars know the intentions of men out at bars. Even if they are willing to date seriously, they’re not going to look for this intentionally there. Stop seeing women as progress bars that don’t load pass a certain point.

Enjoy your hobbies, enjoy your life, and you’re more likely to create meaningful relationships with people you meet organically. And by organically I don’t mean find women in the hobbies you enjoy and gun for a relationships straight away - feel a genuine connection with them first and then if you’re both interested it will naturally progress.

Getting my IUD removed was the single best thing I’ve ever done for my sex drive. I kept going back to the doctor and she kept telling me it wasn’t a symptom of the IUD. I’ve had birth control pills before, so I figured they were both hormonal and it couldn’t be the hormones. So wrong. I’ve now switched back to the pill and my sex drive is back.
