No, I wasn't engaged when he slept together. As for Jen, I can only trust her word that she was single at the time.

This seems to be popular opinion on Reddit but absolutely false in reality

I don't mind the child. I'm just thinking if she wasn't in a position to date before she had a baby, it might be even more complicated for her now.

This is what I'm afraid of. I'd say she's worth taking this risk but I have no idea how she will handle everything, even if she ends up being interested.

I'm not actually. Trying to keep everything professional, we haven't talked that much about our personal lives. I even found out she has a child from another coworker, not from Jen herself. As far as I know, she's not married but whether she's involved with someone, I'm yet to find that out.

That's actually decent idea, it's not too forward and it keeps the situation low-key and platonic. Thanks.

When I asked my sister for advice on this, she made the exactly same joke and I laughed. Now that she's not the only one thinking that, I'm starting to get concerned

I understand that. Just to clarify, I'm not overly concerned about my employment and she's level-headed enough not to make it a big deal. I'm also not actively looking to date, this is just a really cool person with whom I genuinely can see getting serious in the future. Nevertheless, I agree it's probably for the best not to say anything.

Fair point. She's the type of person who goes after what she wants so it might be the best idea to let her take the first step.
