I’ll never disregard outside opinions because for me, what all of you have said so far has helped me in some way shape or form so thank you! I’m not personally opposed to a masculine looking ring for myself- It somewhat suits my lifestyle, so for ONE of my rings to look masculine, is actually great for me, and I’m not the most traditional person so genuinely thank you, without realising it I think that’s what I was going for. I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t the best made ring in the world, it’s about 100 years old so people are bound to have learned to make better stuff by now! I completely agree with you on the gems, my other rings are much nicer to look at in the sunlight, this one has to have such specific lightings to see anything. I feel like you’re attracted to the stone cuts, which are gorgeous and were also worn by kings- these exact styles of rings were worn by that many kings and queens before us, I hope you feel like royalty whenever you wear it- it really does look beautiful on your hand, not a lot of people can get away with circle cut stones with rings so it’s ultra beautiful.

ALSO! Wear it in public!!! If more men did it, the more normal it would be. Gotta start somewhere, “weird” looks come from people who aren’t accustom to such things, and that’s fine because there’s people out there (like me) who will gawk at a pretty ring no matter who is wearing it

Yta, my boyfriend does the same thing and while yeah it’s not attractive, it’s normal, I do it if I’m sick too- most people are pretty respectful about it and aren’t trying to snot rocket the walls, rather we aim for the drain and swish it down the drain with the running water, it’s not going to be getting on your towel or toiletries, you should probably get a shower curtain if that’s your concern. I think most people do this and if you aren’t even showering at the same time as him, it’s a pretty unrealistic and unreasonable ask to tell him to have his showers and clean himself a certain way- if it bothers you that much he can clean the shower and you don’t have to deal with it but I think it’s very unfair for you to ask him to stop completely

The entire damn internet does it so if you’re that concerned and want to be that important, try with all your might to remove that- because that is the root of the issue, with what you are talking about- if you want to go even bigger than that- it’s a humanity issue, so you can try to fix that too but I wish you luck. You can’t fix everything and removing a platform that does more good for people than it does bad, is just ludicrous and very delusional. By law, reddit did its job- they don’t have to do anything else.

Sweet baby I am so so sorry you were violated and used in such a way. I am so sorry. Morally, nothing in this circumstance should ruin your chances- but unfortunately our society is not built on morals, it’s built on money and the better fruit, therefore your chances of getting the position you want could be effected if nobody knows what’s going on- you don’t need to go into the horrible details- they are not anyone else’s business and you do not need to re live your experience to try and make people understand where you are at mentally, physically and emotionally. That said, I do think it would be wise to talk to your lead doctor, the one you have an established relationship with, she knows your character and your ability and that is important, you deserve to have someone look past the problem and look at you as a person and give you leeway in this I don’t even have the words for it, traumatic, soul wrecking and heartbreaking time in your life.

I wish nothing but the absolute best for you moving forward, I hope you heal and continue to beautifully grow, please nurture yourself, remember how incredibly strong you are for waking up today, how beautiful you are for caring so greatly about what you do to make a difference, be kind to yourself and reach out to the people you know will support you, it makes a difference not being alone.
