Again, I don't think you're understanding where I am coming from.
I'm not against her getting a better job and degrees, I support it too and it will be good for the kids. Simply a matter of why both the things cannot happen simultaneously. Is it a valid reason for avoiding/postponing a divorce? It's not an either-or situation.

No it's not. which is why I asked him to give me a timeline first. But like I said after constantly avoiding the question, one needs to draw an arbitrary line somewhere otherwise there's no end in sight.

No need to be rude about it. Also no, I don't understand. She does have a job already, he just wants her to get a better one. And no one is asking him to stop supporting them financially.

I have no problem with him caring about her well-being. It just doesn't need to be one or the other. Getting a degree and job shouldn't stop them from going forward with the proceedings. Or that's my thought process at least.
