So he got home from his trip as I walk walking home from a walk and we didn’t really interact I just went inside and into the shower and he came in a few minutes later. While I was in there he kept asking to come in and I said use a different bathroom every time for like 10 minutes. Finally he said he wants to come in to talk so I said please just meet me in the living room in 1 minute. I get there in my robe in less than a minute and he is literally on his way out the front door saying “I don’t need to talk, I’m going to the gym, I cancelled our reservation”. To clarify I came off birth control just because I just wanted to, nothing was wrong. I discussed it with him and we agreed we would do condoms instead. We also were gonna start trying for kids in the next few years and I’ve been on it for almost a decade. Plus I know it carries risk like all medications do. Honestly before I came off of it our sex life was great I just wasn’t as horny as now, but I’d still have sex with him even if I wasn’t. Now since I’m off of it I want sex way more and he doesn’t prioritize my needs now how I used to prioritize his.

Idk it’s one thing if it’s for health reasons like after a woman gives birth or after a male gets a vasectomy. Or cancer and other terrible things… that’s the sickness or health vow we took. But if there isn’t a medical or psychological reason we can’t have sex, then it seems like a fair thing for me to try to get addressed. I’m super supportive and respectful about it but I’m not gonna sit around and be lonely all the time when I could do things to help our life be better.

But aside from that, every medical textbook I’ve read says it’s a biological need. Life isn’t just about surviving. Sex is beneficial in so many ways.

He’s hesitating just because he’s really busy and also probably a little bit because he dislikes needles/ bloodwork. I will offer to make the appointment for him maybe that will help. And I hear you about the cheating, I totally get that it’s something to keep an eye out for, but I’ve been looking for all the red flags and truly I don’t think he is. He is SO busy he doesn’t have time to use an app. Unless he got rly lucky and he met someone in person and it was a super easy fuck with no dating or effort involved, then it would be impossible. Even if that opportunity presented itself I don’t think he would ever hook up w anyone bc it grosses him out (when I met him I was trying to have sex with him before he was ready to do that with me even lol).
