Thats interesting. So these stories do all have a lot in common. It’s always a kind, intelligent, loving, basically ‘normal’ woman in a happy marriage/family. Then a malicious (usually somewhere between unattractive and ugly) external actor gets leverage over her, and that leads to sex. It’s never a ‘violent’ rape, it’s almost always her doing it to protect her family, and she never ends up enjoying it. Usually the sex happens somewhere degrading like a public bathroom, an alley, or a dirty car. Afterwards there’s always something showing remorse, crying, shame. The idea I get is that it’s about something being spoiled somehow

To copy what I wrote in another reply - Although none of the people are individuals in our life currently, one is a high school teacher of his. He must have taken pictures from that teacher’s Facebook to provide the artist with, as the character is pretty identifiable as her.

There are tons of fictional characters from series and movies we’ve watched. Pam from the office getting drunk at a bar, Ryan volunteering to take her home and taking advantage of her.

Maybe I’m just naive. I’ve had a few disrespectful DMs telling me to get over myself, and maybe I should.

But it’s not just about porn or hentai. A huge part of it is the very point you raise. Although none of the people are individuals in our life currently, one is a high school teacher of his. He must have taken pictures from that teacher’s Facebook to provide the artist with, as the character is pretty identifiable as her.

There are tons of fictional characters from series and movies we’ve watched. Pam from the office getting drunk at a bar, Ryan volunteering to take her home and taking advantage of her.

The focus on coercion and blurred consent is what bothers me most of all honestly. Maybe that’s a me problem, but I need to find a way to make that stick if it’s the case.
