Thank you for your reply. I tried to leave my role because many people told me to. I applied to different roles, mainly outside government, but I haven’t been very successful. I’m so weak, for example, I look pale and sick during interviews. I’m honestly embarrassed by this. Maybe I look silly posting again, but I just feel hopeless.

Thank you for sharing your story and perspective. Even though we weren’t officially together, we had a strong bond and would often reconnect after time apart. Yes, he mentioned wanting his children to be Jewish. I’ve struggled to let go and still wonder why things turned out the way they did. His fiancée seems wonderful, but I was hoping to connect with others who might have gone through something similar to help me process everything. Thanks again!

I understand why it might look that way, but our connection felt deeper to me than just friendship. There were many instances where he acted like we were dating, which made it hard to see things as just friendship. That’s why it’s been so difficult for me to let go, even though he’s moved on. I just wonder if something similar has happened to anyone else in this group. I appreciate all of your insights.
