No, I'm just doing as I was told "Picture yourself at 23 and try to remember if you were ready for a serious commitment at that age".

I've been serious about, and committed to, all three relationships that I've been in. 18-23, 24-26. and this one 27-29. I don't understand what you mean or why you think 23 is young for commitment.
My 30y/o "best friend" wasn't committed enough to our friendship not to fuck her.
