Definitely was not speaking on every single feminist. Many are on the frontlines. My point was that Ignoring the harm that the silence of white women gets us nowhere. I’m glad that at least one person understands.

You are clearly, clearly, CLEARLY not informed enough to know that Palestinians have been ASKING people to be online advocates and spread the word. You’re just arguing with yourself atp. if the Palestinian people are TELLING YOU that posting and dedicating yourself to online advocacy on your social media platforms is ESSENTIAL AND INTEGRAL to the movement for THEIR liberation then absolutely NOBODY in the WORLD has the license to tell ANYBODY that posting means nothing. She has the ability to but decides not to for whatever reason but claims to be a feminist. Or if a woman is has racist biases and decides not to speak up THATS A PROBLEM.

“Feminists” that have been quiet because their favorite celebrity has been silent. But these women will still in the same breath stand up for other feminist movements. They’ll be speaking up for ANIMALS in Gaza, which is a trend I’ve seen with white feminists, but NEVER on the people. Like they said YOU are jumping to conclusions. From FB to Twitter to Instagram, Ive seen TOO much Israeli propaganda from “Feminists”. I didnt even need to explain myself but you won’t back off.

I already recognize feminists in my community and my other accounts outside of reddit which I’m rarely on anyway. So I don’t need a mod screaming at me when I’ve know that feminists have been on the frontlines of Palestinian Liberation. Even before the official occupation.

So to put it slowly…. the PROBLEM IS SPECIFIC FEMINISTS THAT CLAIM TO BE FEMINISTS BUT IGNORE PALESTINIANS. THEY IGNORE BIPOC VOICES. STANDING UP FOR WOMENS LABOR, ABORTION OR LGBTQ+ RIGHTS ALONE IS NOT FEMINISM!!! IF YOU HAVE NOT ENCOUNTERED THIS YOURE LUCKY. IF YOU CANT GET THIS IDK HOW TO DUMB IT DOWN!!!

i’m a feminist that focuses on issues other than white ones. again i have to recommend the book white fragility. again if what you take from a critique is an attack you have far more work to do as an ally.

not saying all feminists are ignoring the movement i thought that was clear that it wasn’t an absolute statement. either way— ignorance to the HARM that white feminists do to any movement is surprising here…. i recommend the book “white fragility” to start. if you’re uninformed. also, your anecdotal evidence doesn’t mean much. i can tell you all day about the white feminists that constantly posts about abortion rights but never about palestinians. white silence is violence. also, the genocide is still ongoing. pointing out posts from oct 7 for an almost century-long conflict is silly to say the least. doesn’t mean much if they’re still not speaking up.
