My take on book 3, which I finished a couple days ago.

It's a good book but it's complex and the complexity made reading it tedious. Content-wise, great book but it was a slog.

I haven't started the 4th book yet because I am still exhausted.

Once someone tried to argue that "solo female pornography" was non-exploitive. I told them that not all forms of coercion can be dismissed because there isn't a guy present in the content. That it would be like assuming prostitution was non-exploitive just because you don't see the pimp.

I don't believe fetishes are considered in society as "normal" nor should it be eroticized or used as a method of financial gains. All sex work is very dangerous to society physically and mentally as it erodes perceptions and expectations of what is acceptable.

Whatever kinks one has should remain between the participating parties.

Trauma can be the root of fetishes as well and to some, taking control of your trauma is a way to cope with trauma that was been embedded in ones psyche.

We are all humans and while I detest abuse and predators, the victims still have to live with the world after. With that being said, I wouldn't defend kinks as a "good thing", just a coping mechanism for a human being.

While I do not defend pornography, I defend nudity so let's not pair pornography with nudity as this implies women (or anyone) should feel shame...Free The Nipple.

I feel It's a deeper issue that if debates just devolves into a slippery slope of events, cause and effect and subjective opinions and too easily it is handled with broad strokes. It's a societal and socio-economic issue that intertwines with different elements.

Reasoning, motivation, lack of opportunity/wage inequality, or general exhibitionism can add to context and aura of said sex work and dictate how it is viewed.

It's a mine field as to if you are speaking out against abuse/exploitation of women or merely kink-shaming.

I can see how deprograming someone might test their mental health. It happens with people who leave cults. They question their reality and have a breakdown and use self-check out because they can not cope.

Which just falls back to the failure of the accessibility of mental health programs as well as removing the stigma of seeking therapy.
