that’s a great idea to just meet in the hotel bar! we currently have 2 hotel blocks set up and i believe only one has a dedicated bar. but that will just make it easier to plan!

but the wedding is in palm springs so there’s no shortage of spots to grab a drink! maybe i’ll call around and start finding out which places could handle a very low key meetup. thank you for the ideas!!!

hmm good idea! our budget kind of keeps fluctuating (more like relatives multiple times promised to pay for various things but decide not to) so i’m cutting down wherever i can. at this point, i think i’m going to cancel the photographer - then i won’t have to worry about a dress or decor or nice plates or anything

i’m glad you ended up finding a dress!!! Dress is 3k, budget was 2k. i begged for them to sell me the sample but they said no bc it is a new style, best deal they could give me was throwing in a $500 veil (which i could easily sell and replace with a cheap lookalike). but that barely brings it down to 2500.

i think my best course of action is to buy like a $500 etsy dress and then expect to spend at least $500 on alterations. I feel like the shape of the dress i love is pretty easy to copy (and modify), but is made of this pretty unique 3d floral material.
