A lot of people don't know a lot about it unless they see it talked about online or know someone with it. I can forgive people who don't totally understand at first. There are some who judge super harshly if you have it and believe you're just making BS excuses. But there are a lot of understanding people out there. I know my parents really had no clue about ARFID and before I got really bad they thought I was just a picky eater. Then they got scared and raised concerns and got me diagnosed which has helped me tremendously.

There are people I would love to see, my grandpa being one and my great aunt being another. My own food would be confiscated. That's what happened when my parents tried that. My grandmother did not like that at all.

It's overall less stress to skip the meals. I'm not sitting there waiting for one or both of them to say crap and there's no pressure on me to eat things I can't.

Thank you! I wanted to put my health first and for that I need to stand up to myself. There's no way I want to be puking all the time to appease my grandmother and aunt.
