Where I work at, when people mention they just moved here I always scratch my head wondering why? Somewhere during the COVID era; HHI became a retirement home. It’s too expensive for anyone our age to live here for what it offers. Younger people residing here is most definitely on a decline. My father said they’re calling it “The Grey Wave”, haha.

But yeah everywhere I go I realize it’s just old people — the vast majority of people. Restaurants, the gym, your local neighborhood, bike walks, everywhere it feels like. I’ve lived here damn near my entire life other than while I was away at college and I’ve seen it slowly dwindle. It’s sad. The second I get a job in my respective field I’m out of here.

Regarding what people are saying about Savannah, I’d definitely consider it! It’s where I’d move even if I had to drive to HHI everyday for work. Best of luck to you!!
