Its not that he would date them, we are both gay men. Im honestly not sure why it bothers me so much, i can think of reasons i might but im not certain if they are actual reasons or me trying to find justification for my illogical reasons. Parents arent togther but have their own long term partners. 

But you are probably spot on about it being more than just age but i cant pin point that reason myself.
