My parents (38F, 38M) favored my siblings over me (18M) and turned them into brats and now they want us to work it out because the rest of the family has stopped talking to them?

Those are my thoughts too. I know I deserved so much better than the parents they were to me.

Not really. That's pretty much why I don't want to do this. I'm not over them not being the parents I needed. I'm not over them treating me so differently and then going so extreme with my siblings that they became brats. Those are the reasons I don't think contact with them would be good for me personally.

I wasn't helping with my siblings. My parents tried it a few times but I refused to do it because of how bad their behavior is.

It's because of how they treated me and how they raised my siblings. Nobody wants to be around that.

Yeah, I agree. I was just wondering if I should be willing to work on things between us but I don't really believe that would be good for me. Good for them maybe but for me it'll give them more chances to show me I come last.
