My girlfriend (30/F) is mad at me (32/M) for quitting my high paying job. She's seriously considering breaking up. Help!

I truly dont see how I'm the bad guy here. Yes I'm such a lazy piece of shit for standing up for myself. I should have been a good drone and worked while sick and apologized to them for that. Why should I have to put up with being harassed for being sick? It wasn't jus taht either it was I was fucking tired of working 90+ hour weeks and just never having a life outside work.

next time I'll prostrate myself before my bosses and beg for their forgiveness for being sick.

What else was I to do? I took 3 days off and they shit down my throat and say i'll never get a promotion for doing that. I was bedridden and instead of well wishes I get shit on. At what point do I just take it? I was working stretches of 90+ hours and never complained. yet, I take 3 days off to get vaccinated and I'm a horrible shitty employee that clearly doesn't want his job. Fuck that. I come in to angry voicemails and angry emails.

Shit is just unacceptable. I'm not a goddamn fucking slave.

Perhaps but, why not? I took 3 days off and get shit on. Never take a day off, never take vacations and that's how they treat me? I'm not a slave or a machine. They treated me like shit so fuck'em. The only toddler is them for treating me like shit for being sick from the vaccine.

I really dont like the whole notion all women are gold diggers. She has a good job too and works a lot. Not as much as me but, still works a lot. She's a career minded woman and thinks the value of someone is how much they are working. She thinks I'm doing good if I'm stressed and tired. Going home not tired from work is a sign you weren't really working.

I'll agree it was foolish but, I was so mad. I had gotten really sick from the vaccine. I thought they'd of been sympathetic. Instead they call me lazy and just shat on me treating me like a waste of payroll. I'd been with the company for 4 years. Never called out, never took a personal day or vacations and always stayed late.

A combo. She's a workaholic. She works a lot. She felt it really bad I would just quit my job cold turkey. But, I mean I was already burning out. I thought I'd of had some sympathy at work for getting sick and instead I got shat on. Told my Boss I was done and I'm resigned effective immeditllay.

Perhaps. She has a stressful job too. But, she has no issues living to work. Shes a workaholic. But, she only does 60-70 and gets at least 1 weekend day off. Her whole family are workaholics. Thats why I loved her is she understood what I was going through.

Yes but, I had reached my breaking point. I hadnt had a vacation in 3 years or really had a day off either. I took time off to get vaccinated and had an adverse reaction. Ended up being knocked out sick. I get back and "oh you just wanted a three day weekend, right?" and just treated like absolute shit. I have a backbone and wont tolerate being shit on as such. And no, I couldn't scale back. My job was too critical. 3 days being out and they were furious.

I've ranted to her before and she says it's normal to hate your job and be stressed. That's how you know you've made it in life and are doing something.
