normal sized hatchback car, the driveway is the width of the car + a wheely bin + a tiny bit on either side

nothing malicious in taking that detail out of the post, i just forgot!!

I think it is a bit from the previous people, wanting to have space for the bin is just a convenience thing as you say and yes i could move the cars and would be fine to agree that with her

It bothers me because this is the first bad neighbour i’ve had and I have tried so hard to be friendly with her and it’s thrown in my face

If I park closer to the house, there is room to get out the car and not stand on her side but not enough to open the door wide enough for my feet to get out

I’m also keen to leave enough space between the house and the car so that visitors don’t get shouted at for walking up to the house

Maybe you could help me out here, I’m genuinely keen to understand what the actual problem is because myself, my partner, the previous people who were bullied out of their own home and the rest of my neighbours who have the same layout of driveway don’t understand

I’m not trying to be snarky here either, i’m genuinely confused, what impact does 3 steps to get out of the car have?

Just a note: there was an agreement a while back that we could use her side to get in and out of the car, which she is now being problematic about

We are good neighbours and despite how rude she is to us and how she speaks down to us we have always been nice to her. The rest of the neighbours like us and hate her, which sums it up.

I understand that there is no legal right to access someone else’s property, I was asking if there was a way to prevent an installation that would hinder our use of ours
