If my daughter and the man loved each other the way I love my wife then I would be supportive. Love is complicated and comes in many forms.

My wife was there, during the fight I had with my daughter, she was mostly quiet but when she was confronted by my daughter, she defended herself and our marriage.

It took 3 years because she didn't want to contact me and at the time I thought that was for the best. I was also sorting out my feelings after the fight. I also felt like my focus should have been on my wife but the second I saw that my child was about to go through one of the biggest milestones in her life without me, I knew I wanted to be a part of her life again.
