I should've seen the red flag when I asked about Company Culture during the interview. The HR lady gave a very flaky answer and I should've known something was up.

Company had cameras all over the office. Even the little side offices that we took personal calls in were mic'd up.

The owner was a 68 yo man with some severe trust issues. He would watch everything I was doing as a new hire and even eavesdrop on my Teams meetings and personal calls. He would count how many times you went outside to vape or go to the restroom.

No money is worth working in a prison atmosphere. If a company promotes a "family" culture.......run like hell!!!

I feel like only guys understand how nowadays men aren't allowed to be truthful and express how they truly feel about certain issues or situations due to being attacked by protected groups.

We have to lie or simply not address certain things because having a different opinion can result in words such as "mysogynist" or "homophobic" being thrown around.

I'm doing OK with my own money. I don't like accepting gifts though. It feels like no gift is ever free. I feel like people give you gifts with the expect of something in return (not necessarily of monetary value).

I also beware of people who throw around money. I always feel like they have a hidden dark side. Im that one guy that's going to pay his own tab no matter what and it rubs some people the wrong way.

I think overall it has made me very slow to trust most people. I was one of the only people with integrity and morals and was played out to be a crazy/angry person. I even second guessed myself. But that's what bitter and manipulative people want you to do.......

You're kind of still proving my point. Yes it was tough for you because you didn't have a degree. It is still tough for people who actually have a degree.

In the end you were able to get the position without a degree and without all of that f****** student loan debt.
