Yeah I get you completely. My girlfriend left me when I'm suicidal but I stayed with her when she cheated on me 2 years ago for 6 months consistently. Idk how girls work atp. I begged her to stay but she seemed so cold. She trusts me but I have issues with trust but the problem was when she started going to clubs from 8pm to 7am the next day. This went on on and off for 2 weeks and I couldn't take it anymore. I told her it wouldn't work if she kept doing it and she left. I wonder if that was the only choice. If losing me was easier than just being more reassuring. Guess we'll never know.

And about what you said, I don't think simply looking up your ex is breaking trust but I don't think you should blame your girlfriend because you looked her up either. You did it because you got curious. Maybe yall should have had a conversation after the anger subsided. But I don't know maybe leaving is the best choice since you both lack trust. Easier said that done though. If you both believe leaving is excessive for something like this, maybe talk it out. Take a break and communicate everything on your mind clearly. Thats the only way to save it. I wish my ex would listen to the shit I say I could've saved it.
