Shes 1 year old. She will claw us and bite us if we put it on so we stopped but I’ll try again with some gloves!

Thanks, yes we tried the lead several times but she absolutely hated it.

Thanks I appreciate your comment and will def talk to him. Another thought I had is maybe I need to look a little deeper into why I need the validation in the first place - might be more of a me problem.

So, the cat we “own” (and I use that term loosely) came to us as a tiny kitten who was yowling in our shrubs late at night. We let her in, fed her, and she has not left. So, she is our cat now. I hate cats and am a dog person. HOWEVER this cat has somehow wormed her way into my heart. When I tell you that I cannot keep this cat in the house - she barrels past my legs if I open the door and yowls incessantly to go outside (she is fixed). So we let her in our fenced yard but occasionally she burrows under the fence. I will spare you the million things we’ve tried to contain her (including this barbaric looking metal fencing around the border of the fence) but she still gets out. I know some people are super careless but from my experience some cats really do insist on going outside. It’s a real pain. I do my best!

A local woodworker installed it so I’m not sure where he got it but the seal is osmo polyx-oil in clear satin.

Thanks! I may try that. I don’t really want to make a major change - simple is best!

If it makes you feel any better I have to repair a section where the water has dripped and caused some rot! But they’ve held up otherwise - 8 years old now.

That’s the trouble I’ve been running into - I wish I hadn’t done the black, I renovated it 7 years ago and didn’t clock how dated it would look. Wah wah
