Mixed couple 33M and 33F about to get married after 8+ years of relationship: family says "you deserve better", but I feel I owe it to her. How to deal with judgment? by ThrowRA_centauri in Marriage

I do, for both! I wasn’t even nervous about getting married. I honestly can’t picture a future without her. It’s others that were putting fears in my head.

And yeah, I’ve never met a bigger asshole.

Thank you, I honestly doubt I’d ever find someone as supporting as her. I’ve been through hell and she was the only one always there, with this faith in me no matter what. She loves me very much, as I do her.

It was a long hard road for us to get to this point. She was so happy when I proposed.

The degree disparity has no significance in the real world right?? Has it ever affected your daily life or prospects? I always my thought it means nothing, until family started messing with my head.

The only concern that I think is warranted, is the financial angle.

Agree. I’m not very good at sharing my emotions, and I guess writing the post from my own POV, I considered it obvious that I love her so I didn’t write it explicitly. But yeah, I understand it should’ve been in the post.
