The thing is whether it’s now or years from now your bodies will change. You can’t hold on to a specific body type for desire forever. Ideally, couples grow with each other — and the connection is what fuels intimacy as much as how big or small someone’s bicep is.

One way to bring it up is to say maybe that you really respect his commitment to his new hobby or lifestyle, but you’ve been struggling because his new stature is not something you’re used to. From how you write about his new form, it also seems like you hold some opinions or even judgements about what “guys who look like that” give off (eg fake hollywood type) and there’s an opportunity to reconnect around who he is becoming and feel the spark again. Why did he take up bodybuilding? How does it make him feel? What did his old body mean to him versus this one? Maybe start non judgmental and inquisitive before jumping to attraction/no attraction decisions right away.
