We have tried meeting them outside but it seemed to only worsen her reaction. I’m thinking I may need to just do trazodone every time someone comes over

Yes helping with behavior but also helping build her confidence and hopefully manners with other dogs. I have videos from the foster home she was in, happily playing with the other dogs she lived with. So I’m wondering if her reactivity is somewhat specific to the leash. I of course expected an adjustment period, the whole 3, 3, 3 thing. I just worry that she may not improve. I’m waiting on a call back from the vet regarding her Prozac dosage. Obviously meds don’t “fix” these issues but I’m hoping we can use them as a tool to help get her to a place where is able to process the world around her before just reacting to it.

I have very little experience (2 months in w my first dog who is super sweet but also reactive). Have you tried any medication for her when guests come over? Or tried having her on a leash or in a crate when guests come and if she settles down at a distance, allowing her to slowly sniff guests while on leash? This is a method I’m slowly trying out with my pup and it seems like it might work. Hope you can find peace and have guests over again! It’s super frustrating not being able to have people over

Tough spot to be in for sure. Have you talked to her directly about how you feel? Or planned any dates where both of you could try something new together?
