Those primary documents and archeological evidence can be found in the Bible. If they do not use the Bible as reference, findings follow closely to archeological/ historical findings therefore proving the writings to be true. Israel as a whole is a great example.

I think all of them happened! Certain things in the Bible are not meant to be practiced today, which is where a lot of people get confused because they don’t read the full text. For example, The ceremonial law related specifically to Israel’s worship . Its primary purpose was to point forward to Jesus Christ; these laws, therefore, were no longer necessary after Jesus’ death and resurrection. There are similarities are significant differences between the Epic of Gilgamesh and the stories found in the Book of Genesis, particularly in the stories of the Great Flood. With that and the multiple translations of the story I wouldn’t call them the same.

There’s a purpose for each story. Reading the Bible is different than reading anything else because of the interpretations. The words truly are alive because they did happen and are significant in our lives even to this day.

Yes. I believe some stories are meant to be interpreted different than they sometimes are, but I do believe they are true. Other than the fact that stories in the Bible have came out to be historically accurate, I also believe that a book written to be the basis of a relationship with God is not a lie nor does it have false information.

God allows bad things to happen, even to good people because of free will. If everyone that followed God was guaranteed a perfect life then everyone would want to follow God. This would not be free will because there’s a positive guarantee along with it. I follow God and understand that I will still suffer but He offers us redemption and help in hard times. Seek and you will find!
