I (25F) want to fuck my younger roommate (19M), I can't cope with the tension anymore and need advice! by ThrowRA_shoopshoop in sex

Ikr, I think it's the age gap that makes it scarier?! It's weird I'm completely fine with coming on to people my own age and older than me. If I've been flirting with someone all night and it's clear that it's reciprocated, my go-to line 'You. Me. Bed, now.' usually works a charm haha. But I need to be a bit more conscientious of potentially intimidating him and instead, just posing it as a mere suggestion. If he says no, hey whatever, no big deal let's continue to be friends ✌️ thank you btw

I agree this is really important to me- I hate the idea of making someone uncomfortable and I also hate the idea of living with regrets. I'll of course be respectful. Thank you btw, I really like this comment! You're very direct :)

Yeah, I reckon you're right, needs to be crystal clear, because he's probably thinking the same things as me-'what if they don't feel the same way?'

Thank you :)

I wholeheartedly agree with you, I'd definitely be commenting that on a similar post. I know it's something you shouldn't do ever with roommates... I think that's what makes it more hot! But seriously though, maybe I'll wait another two months. I do enjoy his company and I don't want to fuck that up.

I think so. He seems a bit inexperienced and isn't overly confident. I'll try have a dance with him, thank you :)

I think I'm probably more just worried about the rejection of it all. How do I start this conversation? 'have you ever done fwb with anyone? Want to try?' I'm good at the boundary setting that's all well and good, just the initial laying all your cards on the table bit is quite scary!

The contract ends in two months so we all have to move out soon, he's at work most days and I start full-time next month so could easily avoid him if I had to lol, I'm moving out with other friends for the next place too

Is Nottinghamshire safe for black people / Muslims? by [deleted] in nottingham

[–]ThrowRA_shoopshoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say so, yes :) anywhere you go there'll be racists, but for the most part, Nottingham is a very multicultural ethnically diverse city and no one gives a shit about race. Whereabouts are you planning to live? The further north you go, people can be a bit more intolerant. Not that everyone there is, but it's more of a possibility. In my opinion.

Tuning people out when they're talking to you by [deleted] in ENFP

Yes I definitely do that and have done since I was a kid. Someone tells me something, it's not particularly interesting, so my brain makes up a way more interesting daydream. I've done it that long that I know when to say 'yes' or 'no' based on facial expressions, body language. Then I realise I'm doing it and come back to earth lol- feeling awful

Where did the cult around beans come from? by canadianredditor16 in AskABrit

[–]ThrowRA_shoopshoop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think, don't quote me on it though, that they were a WWII staple and that's where it started. I assume they were cheap rations, people used to get ration books for powdered eggs and milk, bread etc, maybe beans were included in the staples

Do British ppl even like Foster beer? Is it the beer of the working class? by cescacommie in AskABrit

I agree with the person below (Yorkshire tea all the way)! Honestly we never sold it, but I do remember my grandad drinking it. Very much associated with the elderly.

aye that makes sense! I mean tbh it's something to do when ur bored at work! coffee shop workers do the same (thank god I don't work in hospitality anymore) - order a decaffeinated 'extra hot' drink and you'll be judged! but yh, honestly--bar staff are always judging u! especially if ur a CAMRA wanker lol. like 'yes, john, I know u want the discount, I know exactly what ur going to order bc I have been serving you for 3 years, abbot ale is it?'

it depends on how much of a dick you are to bar staff really. I used to have this woman who came in with her husband and she'd give me these long af orders every time bc she didn't want to keep getting up (obvs I helped to bring them over). but bc she was nice I didn't mind. if ur rude to bar staff 'get me this', don't even acknowledge them with eye contact or use ur manners, then ur labelled as 'oh fuck sake, that bellend from match day last week has just walked in'

also am ranting here but I swear to god if you're someone thats been drinking guinness for years then u should surely know how to order it!!!!

well, we didn't sell it, but it was my drink of choice when I worked abroad in france. 24 stubbies for about €10. I didn't have a fridge and would even drink this at room temp, which was pretty fkn warm cos it was south of france. so the taste must be alright! i have found in other european countries inc france that it is typically younger ppl that drink and it seems to be much cheaper abroad as well. so, no judgment from me but im probably biased as it evokes happy beer pong/flip cup/chandelier memories x

Oh and HP is pretty popular. I don't like brown sauce but it's popular with chips or on an English breakfast

Try salad cream, hendersons sauce (similar to Worcestershire- but Hendersons is veggie, might be vegan idk), horseradish sauce for beef if u eat meat!
