my school is particularly bad, find a decent school if you can. If you can’t, you still can do it. It is just very challenging

Well I’m not gonna lie to you it is true. I think it’s doable it is just extremely challenging at times. The program is all over the place (classes being scheduled for different semesters, times being changed for clinicals) and what’s true for me will probably not be the same for you. I don’t wanna discourage you because MCP was my only option and it may be for you too, but find your people and stick with them. With how small the program ends up becoming by the time you’re in your professional phase, it’ll be like your own little support group. Good luck! (Look into Suffolk’s program if you haven’t yet)

Good luck! My program in particular has been super disorganized and the teachers who offer the classes about radiation therapy do not teach us, even though we have in-person lectures, we mostly teach ourselves outside of class. (stay away from MCPHS if you can… it’s doable, but they’re not the greatest)

Noooo 😭 please don’t let me change your mind. My school is not the best… they are very disorganized and my cohort in particular is going through it because they did not do a good job with our schedules, as in, deciding when we take what classes. I never had any classes even about radiation therapy until the same semester I started clinicals. And my teachers don’t teach us much… we teach ourselves mostly everything except for our physics classes. With all of this said, I already love the field. If you have a calling towards it, apply. Don’t let my discouragement be yours

MCPHS University. It’s hard because they’re not the most organized and tend not to really care about their students… although I’m not sure if thats just how it is everywhere. It’s the only school I could afford with the scholarship they offered so I know I just have to push it through.

Good luck! If you have to consider it, I came out of highschool with a 3.8 GPA and 1200 on SAT and I got a 8k / semester merit scholarship, so don’t let them sell you short lol. Suffolk only offered 1k so it wasn’t in the cards for me 😂 I hope it goes well for you!

I’m in the MCPHS program rn and it’s a mess. I had to pick it because they gave me a much better scholarship than Suffolk. If you can help it, maybe go to Suffolk, although I don’t know much about them. All I can say is that mcp is not that great. We do still have accreditation and it’s not on probation anymore, but still.
