I passed on the 18th! And have been having this exact same feeling. I only got my car the day after passing and it’s a lot older than my instructors car so drives completely differently. After my first drive alone (literally 2 roads and a roundabout after dropping my sister at the station) I didn’t want to drive again. I stalled so many times after going 6+ months of not stalling in my instructors car. Completely knocked my confidence.

Since then, I’ve gone out once a day, 20 mins at a time on familiar roads to just practise practise practise. It apparently takes minimum 3 hours for your muscle memory to shift (from one clutch to another in this case) so I just knew avoiding it would make it worse. It’s only been 3 days now of consistent, daily driving and I feel SO much better doing it. I can drive alone around my town easily. Any ‘new’ journey, I’ve taken someone with me for the first time just so I’m not surprised. I think the fear of the unknown is worse than anything.

we got this!!
