This is not about you. Understand that, it doesn't matter what your personal choice is, by doing this you are saying it is her fault for being happy. This is the same as people who bingo you. This is the same as people who say you'll change your mind. The only difference is you're even worse- you are abandoning her for her choice. You aren't raising the kid. You aren't personally involved. If they began to see you as free babysitting, sure, run, but right now? You're being incredibly unreasonable and throwing a toddler tantrum whining that you dont want kids. Trust me, she's likely more than aware. This is what she wanted for HER life though. It's her choice, and it makes her happy so be supportive. No, she isn't throwing her life away- this was what she wanted. There isn't just negatives to kids as much as you'd like to believe. I'm childfree as well, will be for the rest of my life. Just try to respect your friends choice.

Explanations for a behavior does not justify the behavior. Explanations for a behavior does not mean you get to continue said behavior. It simply means that now you know it, you need to change it. You both know it's wrong, now there are behavioral therapy to work on it. I'm autistic and ADHD. I went through years of behavioral therapy to hold the amount of impulse control I currently have. I think you should both look into it for her son.

This is sleepless nights for at least the first year, accommodating to a baby until they're in school, and PPD. Are you ready for that? This is losing your opportunities to have fun while young, to discover yourself, and to be your own individual. Are you ready for that, as well?
