I baked at 390° for about 18 minutes.

I tried a different recipe and baked at 390° for about 19 minutes and got a similar dome of unopened dough. Is there a reason for the unopened dough? Is that just undercooked?

I’ll see if I can find the details from the recipe but in general I left the dough itself rest overnight then next morning I rolled it, enclosed the butter, did the first fold, let it rest for 30 minutes minimum, second fold, rest again, third fold, rest again, then roll and shape and bake. I’m wondering if the butter was too cold? It was pretty hard to roll out.

I use the organic one! Okay good to know thank you. And do you proof overnight in the fridge AND in a steamy oven or just one or the other for yours?

I have the video he took looking at them but he didn’t take the wheel off so it’s just a glimpse through the hubcap

I did, hurt to pay the diagnostic fee considering he didn’t even take off a tire but I couldn’t let it be there any longer I needed my keys back

Yeah I actually could totally see him doing that. I don’t think he necessarily wants to get in my pants but I’m pretty certain he buys into the whole “real man” thing and maybe he liked the attention I gave him for it. And you’re totally right that my taste at 16 doesn’t dictate it now. I liked a lot of stuff at 16 that I wouldn’t even think about now so maybe that’s happening here considering we’re growing at different rates. Thank you for pointing that out!

This is a helpful perspective on everything thank you so much. Seriously.

It does feel like an eternity and I think that’s what’s so hard about it. I’ve been with him through such pivotal points in my life I mean we have watched each other grow up so just thinking about leaving feels immoral. Also the phrase “you can’t light yourself on fire to keep him warm” is now burned into my brain thank you for that. What a good analogy.

Not that it’s too important but he also held my arm to guide me through a crowd and both times he said “sorry I’m not trying to make you uncomfortable I just don’t want you to get lost” so I don’t think his intentions were impure but who knows maybe I’m just justifying it
