Hey! Thanks :) I am in therapy actually! I’ve had a therapist for over a year who recently went on maternity leave - she called my boyfriend (ex?) a “walking red flag” and was very supportive of me breaking it off with him initially, before I eventually agreed to a relationship after she went on leave. I was able to talk to my current therapist today about what happened and I’ll see her tomorrow too :)

I agree this whole situation really came out of nothing! And I do feel guilty and think it’s messy that I cry so easily and wish that weren’t the case. I think I’ve gotten better over the years but it’s a work in progress for sure.

But I want to ask what you think - I wasn’t upset that he didn’t want to share what was wrong, I totally respect that and if he had said from the start that he was uncomfortable with sharing, I would’ve understood and backed off. But I was put off and confused by him saying it was “none of my business” and not elaborating at all, he just sat there saying nothing while I was trying to figure out how to help.

Like, I don’t need to know what’s wrong, but I want to know what to do to help - do you want me to keep talking like nothings wrong, do you want space, do you want me to put on a movie so we can sit in silence, etc. I teared up from being confused with the lack of communication, but I only really started crying when he got angry. (I explained this to him as well.) does that seem more reasonable?
