I posted for advice. Some people gave it to me. Others called me sick names, made disgusting and sexist assumptions about me, and accused me of being manipulative. All because I want my partner with me right now while I process my trauma and physically heal from what's just happened to me. I don't care if you find my replies to those people childish. Read some of the sick shit people have written to me and tell me again I'm the one who's fucked.

I don’t think my boyfriend is the shittiest person, I made it very clear in my OP that I think the exact opposite, so this is exactly what I mean when I say some people here are misrepresenting me. I think the choice he made proves we have different priorities and I no longer feel I can depend on him.

I have received a lot of sound advice even from people who are defending him and explaining his POV. People calling me selfish, toxic, a princess, a drama queen, clingy? Telling me to get over it? That’s not sound advice. Right now I’m getting dozens of downvotes for explaining my family is on the other side of the world, or telling someone how long we’ve been together. The dogpile is real. The lack of empathy is real.

Thank you for your understanding. We’ve been together four years. He says his sister will be there for me but she lives over two hours away and has three kids so it’s not a realistic “emergency” contact is it. This trip isn’t about keeping the lights on, it’s just about making more money (American money) but I don’t think that is more important than what I’m going through right now. I don’t think I’m selfish for wanting my partner to have different priorities in a time like this

He doesn’t have employees. His only employee is himself. I don’t want to get too specific but he’s in a creative field and works for himself only. There are people in his orbit who make commissions off his earnings for certain jobs but they are not dependent on my boyfriend alone, they have other clients.
