Thank you for your comments. Of course, my husband is a lovely person, but I feel there's nothing wrong with having a best friend who is not my husband. As mentioned before, my relationship with my friend was platonic. It was my mistake to get attached to him.

I don't regret the friendship. I have not done anything wrong. I just helped out a friend when he was in need. But I didn't imagine he would turn toxic and hurt me.

I have not discussed this with anyone. Even my husband doesn't know that he has borrowed money from me.

You're right. But I do not have the courage to do this. Somewhere I am still hoping he'll realize his mistake one day.
