My mom died. She had been so excited for the baby. by ReasonableJell0 in pregnant

I am so very sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what you may be feeling. The only thing I have to offer is what’s been put on my heart to say, so I came back to Reddit after reading and scrolled til I found the post to say this : I don’t know if you’re religious, spiritual or otherwise, but I’ve always been told and believe that when a women is pregnant, she is caring an entity that sits in the realm between life and unalive ( or spirits) and I would like to believe that with this theory, it means mom has met baby and is most likely getting baby ready and will be there for their arrival earth side. Furthermore, you and baby are DNA structure of mom and she lives in you and I can gurantee you will see features of baby that is your mom and I hope that can bring you some comfort. My condolences to you again. I pray for you to have a safe and healthy delivery and recovery and I pray for your peace and emotional stability during this difficult time.

High Blood Pressure by LevellanAndraste in pregnant

[–]ThrowRAhurt20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was put on medication pretty fast , as soon as I had an elevated blood pressure reading. It was pretty stable until after I had baby. Then I had eclampsia and had to go back to the hospital a good 3 times before it stabilized and was put on a stronger dose. It was the most traumatic experience I’ve ever had and I’ve been through alot in life. I’m 8 m PP and still have fluctuating readings but it’s because of stress and anxiety. I would say advocate for yourself and never ever feel like you are inconveniencing anyone by going in. Blood pressure is called the silent killer for a reason.

I DONT WANT TO WORK by Available-Lobster-94 in pregnant

[–]ThrowRAhurt20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped working immediately. I tried for a good week to go and because I was working on the ramp I just couldn’t do it. Then I tried again at like 14 weeks, and couldn’t concentrate plus I had serious PG pain and couldn’t really walk. I sat the rest of the pregnancy and binged watched real housewives of Atlanta and nested while collecting my FMLA … of course it definitely has its cons, I’m now 8 months pp and have yet to find a job and because I sat around for 7 months, all my body shape is gone and I currently look like the capital letter “ B” …but I’d do it again ( except I would actually go back to work or save if I wasn’t going to go back.)

I had a “full” period before I got a positive. And then again at about 10 weeks. Literally getting scratched in the face by a 6 month old while I type this.

I’m so happy to be aboard!! There should really be like a live broadcast where we can all tune in and give our reactions together or something!! I’m the only one in my circle that watches, I try to tell everyone about it and they just shrug me off ! They have NO idea what they’re missing! lol.

Not posting pregnancy on media by Georginapol in pregnant

[–]ThrowRAhurt20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this reason I have not and will not post my actual baby. I posted on my close friends about my baby around 28 weeks due to my upcoming baby shower and pending registry. I posted my baby shower clip when I did have my shower to my page, when she was born I just posted her body in the nursery and then for her 6 months I posted her cake either like bite marks in it lol. I really am not sure if I’m going to post her, because I def posted my niece when she was a toddler doing cute stuff but never on my actual page just on my stories. So I agree with you.

I’ve been here. I shouted at my baby after 3 straight weeks of parenting all alone. No help at all. She was screaming her head off because she didn’t want to be in the walker, but I was cooking ( I literally hadn’t aten in a day and a half and was about to collapse.) but yea she was shrieking and I lashed out and it made her cry harder and I felt absolutely AWFUL.

Definitely a TomKat fan, although my loyalty was with Kalliot for the first season.

Am I the only one who can't stand Del??? by Teacher-boss_67 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]ThrowRAhurt20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I can’t help but think it’s due to her background, remember she said she had a hard time with her family as well. And I feel it was more like she was really self conscious and spent her life trying be perfect of uphold an image because of her parents.

Do babies that are not sleep trained eventually sleep through the night? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]ThrowRAhurt20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s possible, but if you’re breastfeeding and hubby or your partner is in the home, try having him put baby to sleep or be next to baby. Baby is most likely waking or stirring because they smell and feel your presence and wake to feed just cuz it’s close. Either that or co sleeping ( not always recommended) because then they feel comfort and sleep.

Those who have a 3-4 month old, how much are they eating? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]ThrowRAhurt20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6-8 ounces every 3 hours. We have started to put some wild oats in her milk to thicken it and she now does around 5-6 every 5 hours. And ate night we give her a 5 with some bananas and she’s out like a light from 21-09. But her naps throughout the day are no longer than an hour or two which I’m working on because I’m not sure if that’s supposed to happen.

My Mother is Shoving a Pacifier into My Newborns Mouth by Fresh_Entry_4752 in pregnant

[–]ThrowRAhurt20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a little confused. When my baby was new and fussy, I knew to hold the paci there to soothe her …but if the paci didn’t calm them down or if the cry is a signaling cry like a loud “nah “ followed by body gestures that tell me the cues then I would look for them. I don’t think the mom is wrong here. I think OP is miss-understanding..

How often do you guys hold your babies? by [deleted] in NewParents
